To collect your money from a Western Union agent location in India, you must present a government-issued ID proof. If you have changed your name due to marriage or Gazette notification, you will also need to provide your marriage certificate or Gazette notification indicating your name change.

According to government regulations, you can receive up to USD 2,500 (or its INR equivalent) per transfer. Indian nationals can receive a maximum cash payout of INR 50,000. Payouts exceeding INR 50,000 are made only through local crossed cheques. Foreign nationals with a Tourist Visa can receive over INR 50,000 in cash under exceptional circumstances. You can receive a maximum of 30 transfers per year.

Receiving money is free of charge. All fees are paid by the sender.

Anyone in need of quickly sending or receiving money, from travelers to individuals supporting their loved ones abroad, can avail themselves of Western Union services.

You can check the status of your transfer online or by visiting the nearest Remitx Agent Location. You will require the sender's name and the unique tracking number, the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN), mentioned on the transfer's receipt.

The Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) is a unique identifier assigned to your transfer.
